Microblading

Microblading is a cosmetic tattooing process that enhances the appearance of sparse eyebrow areas by filling them in. Once pigment is applied, microblading can last up to three years. It involves applying semi-permanent colour to the skin with a small handheld equipment made up of numerous microscopic needles.

Microblading is different from traditional eyebrow tattooing in that each hair stroke is generated by hand with a blade that makes fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and a single needle.

Microblading is commonly performed on brows to create, enhance, or modify their shape and colour. It deposits colour in the upper dermis, causing it to fade faster than standard tattooing procedures, which deposit pigment deeper in the dermis.
